L2O Earrings
Designed in 2022, the L2O Earrings are a variation of the iconic L2 and form part of the natural evolution of the JXTX archive. They retain the original structure: a square wire bar measuring 2.5 × 2.5 mm and 25 mm in length, reduced to its essence to create a clean, solid, and contemporary object.
The distinction lies in its structural intervention: the main body is perforated and holds a suspended hoop measuring 12 mm in diameter and 1 mm in thickness. This mobile element introduces a new gesture, adding movement and a dialogue between mass and void without compromising the geometric purity of the original design.
Like the L2, versatility is central to its identity. The L2O can be worn in two ways:
• Suspended vertically, as a straight line accompanied by a hoop that introduces dynamism and reflection.
• Positioned diagonally, held in place by gentle pressure between the post and the body of the earring, creating a more open graphic composition along the edge of the ear.
This dual functionality makes it an adaptable piece, capable of shifting its presence according to the wearer’s intention. The L2O preserves the sculptural sobriety of the L2 while incorporating a movable element that amplifies its contemporary character.
Each piece is handcrafted in Mexico City using recycled .925 sterling silver, with precise finishes that reflect both craftsmanship and JXTX’s geometric sensibility.
